I had finally admitted that I fall in the unfortunate 15% of women who experience postpartum depressions, and scheduled sessions with a psychotherapist in NYC.
Two sessions later, I must say, these sessions add on to my postpartum stress, because it's very stressful to try to make them on time on Saturday morning, aside from my normal chores + it's extremely annoying to have someone prying how I feel about EVERYTHING, including "how do you feel about sitting here with me?" I have absolutely NO IDEA how to answer some of these questions. I get the feeling that she doesn't have anything to say to me, so she's filling the time slot with these "how do you feel" questions. I think I am going to stop going. My mother coming over to help is much more useful for stress-alleviation, to be honest.
